The Fast and Furious franchise is as big abroad as it is India. Audiences here wait for its various instalments to hit the marquee. The action, the rush, the stunts, just about everything entices the viewers here. No wonder that Universal Pictures thought of collaborating with Star Movies to launch the first trailer of the seventh edition of Fast and Furious on the channel yesterday.
This edition of Fast and Furious is very significant as it is the posthumous release of late Paul Walker’s film. He died in November last year in a car crash which is pretty ironical. Many are even calling this instalment a tribute to him. That made the makers release the first trailer on a movie channel in India. In less than 24 hours, the video garnered 1 lac views and over 9 million impressions!
Fast and Furious 7 is produced by Universal Pictures and Relativity Media and is directed by James Wan. It is slated to release in India on April 3, 2015 and stars Van Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Stratham. The trailer gives an impressive and spectacular glimpse of what it has in store for its fans. Paul Walker cheating death? Now that’s something we hope has happened in reality as well.
