Fellow Potterheads, brace yourselves, a new illustrated series of Harry Potter, Harry Potter 2.0 is here! The world famous fictional story of Harry Potter is now getting an illustrated remake.
On Jan. 13, Scholastic announced that the first book of the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, would be released in living color on Oct. 6, 2015. Scholastic plans to release each book of the series each year over throughout the course of the next seven years.

The series is being revamped with the help of artist Jim Kay. When asked about his experience working on the epic series’ illustration the artist replied, “To be given the opportunity to design the characters, the clothing, the architecture and landscapes to possibly the most expansive fantasy world in children’s literature, well let’s just say I’m extremely excited about it. The story is everything, and so I want to bring what I can to really show the depth of Rowling’s stories, to their best.”
Fans were already rejoicing over the news of J.K. Rowling creating a story on the character of Draco Malfoy. Now, to see the amazing characters created by J.K. Rowling come to life through illustrations is something everyone is rooting for.
