Hollywood hunk Jason Statham has given us a great news by confirming his involvement in the 8th installment of the Fast and Furious series. After setting a record with its worldwide collection in Furious 7, the filmmakers had already started initiating plans for the next sequel. Lead actor Vin Diesel had already accepted his return in the film and now with Jason’s recent confirmation, it looks like the next Fast and Furious film will be as grand as this one.
It will be the franchise’s first film without actor Paul Walker who’s demise saddened everyone around the world. Furious 7 saw the actor’s final performance which was one of the reasons of the worldwide success. Jason Statham who is mainly known for his action based films was seen in the 6th part of the film at the very end which introduced his character. Furious 7 saw Vin Diesel avenging the death of his brother against the Toretto gang led by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham).
Interestingly, Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock has also dropped hints of his return in Furious 8. With the three lead characters joining the cast, it can be anticipated that rest of the actors will follow in as well. Furious 7 saw actors Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Elsa Pataky, Nathalie Emmanuel and Lucas Black in pivotal roles.
Jason who joined the Fast and Furious family only recently opened up about his return by stating that he is only a newcomer, and that he just got invited to the party in this last one, so it’s nice to know he is going to be doing another. When the actor was asked to give insight about Furious 8’s story, he simply stated that he’s the actor not the writer! The British star has given hits like The Transporter series, The Expendables, Crank, Spy, Snatch, Death Race, The Bank Job, 13, Wild Card among others.
