Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has given us more hits than we can count. The FRIENDS actress recently revealed that her quest to become a superstar was driven by her father’s opposition to her dreams. Aniston’s father begged her to become a lawyer, as he was afraid she wouldn’t survive in the cold brutal industry of showbiz.
In a recent interview Jennifer Aniston revealed her journey of becoming an actress and put light on her childhood. “I was hell-bent because my dad was just begging me not to be in the industry. He said, ‘I do not want your heart broken. The rejection is brutal. Please, please, please don’t do that. Become a lawyer,” said the 45-year-old actress.
“That was my one rebellion. I was hoping that I was going to make it, so that I could prove him wrong. I just kept going. I’m happy he made that claim that he didn’t want me to do it,” Jennifer added.
According to Jennifer, as and when she saw the musical ‘Annie’, she knew that she wanted to be a part of the entertainment industry. But the actress soon gave up on the musical part as she realized she couldn’t sing. Coming from a family where a lot of people were actors, Aniston grew up to be a kid who saw a lot of theatrical plays.
She said, “I grew up in New York City, and I was born into a family of actors. I remember going to see my first play, which was ‘Children of a Lesser God’ on Broadway. And then, I saw ‘Annie’, and forget about it. It was me, my hairbrush and my record player, for hours on end. But I couldn’t sing, so that wasn’t going to happen.”
Jennifer Aniston, who was previously married to actor Brad Pitt, tied the knot with actor Justin Theroux in the year 2012. Aniston is mainly known for her role in the TV series FRIENDS, and has also starred in movies such as, Cake, We’re The Millers, and Horrible Bosses.
