Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. First the actor entertained us with his recent film Hawaizaada, and now he is all set to amaze us yet again with his upcoming film Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
In the film, Ayushmann plays Prem Prakash Tiwari who dreams of marrying a beautiful bride, but just like any typical guy in a typical Indian family, is forced to marry a girl of their parents choice, Sandhya, who isn’t actually the type of girl Prem Prakash Tiwari had in his mind.
The trailer of the film Dum Laga Ki Haisha was released yesterday by the makers of the film, after releasing the very first poster. The trailer looks really fresh and out-standing. Different than what we have seen in Bollywood so far. Going by the trailer, Ayushmann is seen playing a character of a very desi, soft spoken guy from Haridwar, who isn’t that educated.
But what really impresses us, is the idea of an unusual romance, that too coming from Yash Raj Film’s side. We have seen slim actresses with desirable hot figure, but in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bhumi Pednekar, who’s all set to make her Bollywood debut with this movie, plays Sandhya, an-overweight school teacher in the film. In the film, Sandhya (Bhumi Pednekar) tries and keeps trying to bring some fire and romance in her new marriage.
In the trailer, we can sense the uneasiness and unhappiness that surrounds Prem Prakash Tiwari and Sandhya’s life post their marriage. And then their parents force the pair to participate in a game which takes place in their village. There on, while falling during training and practice, the not-so-similar man and wife, fall in love. The tag line in the trailer reads “Love comes in all sizes”. The trailer of the film seems promising enough and gives an image of an unusual yet hilariously beautiful journey of love.
Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Dum Laga Ke Haisha is directed by Sharat Katariya and produced Maneesh Sharma. Bhumi Pednekar will be debuting in Bollywood with this film. Dum Laga Ke Haisha is set to release in February 27, 2015 under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
