Fans of Leo in Russia’s Far East have made a statue for him that bears close resemblance to the Oscar prize and is made from donated precious metals. Nearly 150 of DiCaprio’s fans from the Yakutia region donated the 1.5 kilograms of silver and 4 grams of gold that was required to make the statue for the American actor, who is nominated in the best actor category for his role in “The Revenant.”

Famed for nominations but never winning at the Oscars, Leo has become a ‘meme’ on popular social networking sites. According to a fan, even if Leo didn’t win at the Academy Awards, their love for him would not decrease in the slightest. Leo would still be their favorite. The last time Leo was nominated for an Oscar, it was for ‘The Wolf Of Wall Street’ in 2014.
