Band mates are reportedly concerned for the health of Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger following the sudden death of his girlfriend L’Wren Scott, a fashion designer, who was found dead in her $US6 million ($6.63 million) Manhattan Apartment on Monday, March 17, 2014.
The New York City Chief Medical Examiner confirmed that L’Wren Scott had committed suicide. Her assistant found her in her apartment.
Mick Jagger is said to have learned of Scott’s death while dining at a Perth restaurant, Coco’s. Earlier this week, the seventy year old Rolling Stones legend had shut himself in his hotel room after learning of his girlfriend’s death.
Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts stated Mick Jagger had been dazed and unwell since hearing of the apparent suicide and has gone to Los Angeles to prepare for his girlfriend L’Wren Scott‘s funeral.
A representative for the grieving singer said that Jagger has arrived in Los Angeles in order to be with members of his family, and will be joined by his children whilst he makes arrangements for Scott’s funeral.
It is said that Mick Jagger flew out separately from his band members, who had stayed with him after cancelling their tour in Australia.
L’Wren Scott‘s body has been taken to the Frank E. Campbell Funeral and arrangements for the funeral is yet to be announced.
Mick Jagger paid an emotional tribute to Scott on his official website earlier this week and wrote, “I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her.”
The Rolling Stones have cancelled the forthcoming scheduled dates of their tour in New Zealand and Australia.
