Oscars 2015: Award Presenters, Performers, Nominees And Predictions

The 87^th Academy Awards is right around the corner. Here’s a summary of everything you need to know about Oscars 2015. The prestigious award ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on February 22.

As we’ve told you earlier, Hollywood actor Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting this year’s Oscar. The actor recently revealed that he would rather be a host than a nominee. “I’ll admit that I’m nervous to host, but it is much less pressure than being a nominee,” the 41-year-old actor stated.

A list of actors and actresses presenting the awards include Jennifer Aniston, Sienna Miller, David Oyelowo, Chris Pratt, Kerry Washington and John Travolta. Ben Affleck, Naomi Watts, Shirley MacLaine, Miles Teller, Jessica Chastain, Viola Davis, Chris Pine and comedian Kevin Hart are also amongst the award presenters.

Performances at the 87^th Academy Awards will be by Jennifer Hudson, Jack Black, Rita Ora, Common and John Legend. Recent news suggested that Twilight actress Anna Kendrick will also be performing at the event. The Pitch Perfect actress is well known for her singing apart from her acting skills.

Best Picture nominations of this year include Whiplash, American Sniper, Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Imitation Game,Selma, The Theory of Everything and Boyhood. Predictions are being made that Boyhood will most likely bag the prestigious award this year.

Nominations for Best Actress are, Felicity Jones (The Theory Of Everything) Marion Cotillard (Two Days, One Night), Reese Witherspoon (Wild), Julianne Moore, (Still Alice), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl). Predictions favour in support of Julianne Moore.

Nominations for Best Actor are, Michael Keaton (Birdman), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything), Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game), Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Steve Carell (Foxcatcher). Predictions favour in support of Michael Keaton andEddie Redmayne.
