Hollywood movies are highly appreciated for their mindboggling horror flicks in India. The makers of the contemporary version of the classic film Poltergeist are all set to release the film in India on May 22, one day after its release in Netherlands. According to the team dubbing the film in Hindi will seek larger audience and thus the film will also be released in Hindi.
The film revolves around the story of a family who shift into a house, which they later find out, is haunted and has paranormal activity. As the circumstances become more complicated, the youngest daughter of the house goes missing and is believed to be taken by the evil spirits as a captive.
Makers of the film gave away quite a lot in the trailer earlier by revealing that the haunted house and the surrounding area has been built on top of a graveyard and thus the spirits wandering around the place are dangerous and veil in nature. The family’s sole purpose is thus to rescue the young kid before she is taken away to another world by these spirits.
Directed by famous personalities like Sam Raimi who has done films like Spiderman, Drag Me to Hell and The Evil dead along with Monster House, City of Ember director Gil Kenan, Poltergeist stars actors Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jared Harris, Saxon Sharbino, Jane Adams, Kyle Catlett and Kennedi Clements. The original Poltergeist released in 1982 was co-written by Steven Spielberg, followed by Poltergeist II and Poltergeist III in 1986 and 1988.
