Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd (RBNL) has had some major changes in its top level management where former chief operating officer Lavneesh Gupta has reportedly resigned from his post and decided to move on. The organization has gone under tremendous changes with many promotions taking place within the management.
According to the new promotions, Reliance Broadcast Network’s CEO Tarun Katial will head the new team. Katial stated, “In order to build a future ready organisation, we want to build a team of lateral leaders. Their focus will be on developing skills of the team in the areas of innovation, creativity, risk taking and adopting an entrepreneurial approach. I am certain that the team will deliver and continue to successfully drive the growth story for the Group.”
The newly appointed team will cover all RBNL’s radio as well as television businesses namely 92.7 Big FM, Big Magic and Big Magic Ganga. Asheesh Chatterjee has been appointed as the executive vice president and chief financial officer overlooking the expansion plans in addition to existing finance portfolios.
Ashwin Padmanabhan who is the existing business head for Big FM has now been appointed as the executive vice president and business head to oversee the television channels as well. Revenue, product and marketing for both radio and television businesses will be handled by chief strategy officer Sunil Kumaran.
Reliance Broadcast Network is a subsidiary of the Indian Reliance Group of companies. It has produced TV shows such as Jai Maa Vindhyavasini, Raavi, Ajab Gajab Ghar Jamai, Beta Hi Chahiye and Akbar Birbal. 92.7 Big FM operating under the network is one of the leading radio stations in the country.
