Sean Penn is a name synonymous with magnificent roles he’s essayed on the silver screen. An actor defined by the varied roles he’s played is back in the movies after a little over a year with an action thrilled titled The Gunman. Set to release in India on20th march, 2015 alongside the international release, the film stars Sean Penn in the leading roles along with Javier Bardem (known for his roles in Skyfall, Vicky Cristina Barcelona) and famous Italian actress Jasmine Trinca. The film is directed by Pierre Morel who has previously directed acclaimed films in the same genre such as District 13 and Taken.
The Gunman is based on an international bestselling novel titled The Prone Gunman authored by Jean-Patrick Manchette. The film revolves around Penn’s character a former Special Forces soldier and military contractor suffering from PTSD. He tries to reconnect with his longtime love, but first must go on the run from London to Barcelona and across Europe in order to clear his name. This movie is the first ever complete action film that Penn has taken over at the age of 54!
Set to be a perfect watch for anyone who has a love for the action genre, the film promises to pack in a punch along with the perfect dose of drama. The film is being distributed in India by PVR Pictures.
