Suicide Squad Trailer: Meet The Worst Of The Worst And The Joker!

Finally after a tease and a long wait, here’s the much awaited trailer of upcoming super-villain flick Suicide Squad by directorDavid Ayer, yes, the one who also directed Fast and the Furious. The leaked trailer created a massive wave on the internet after it was screened at San Diego Comic Con. However, the leaked video of the trailer was later taken down. But.. finally the official trailer is here and its totally insane, just like the squad!

The trailer starts with Amanda Waller bragging about how she has finally found the worst of the worst and how they are under her command. She suggests that this assembled team of super villains would make a good task force to wipe out whoever that they want and do their dirty laundry, in a hope of getting clemency. When asked if she can really control the most dangerous people on the planet, she says, “Getting people to act against their own self-interests is what I do for a living.”The screen changes and with Harley Quinn singing the Bee Gees ‘I Started A Joke’, we are then introduced to the bad*ss villains of Suicide Squad, beginning with Harley Quinn, played by Margot Robbie. Being her crazy self, Harley surely out shadowed everyone in the trailer. Alluring and shinning with her own charm of craziness and insanity, Harley caught everyone’s major attention in the trailer and we are sure, she’ll shine in the film as well.

Suicide Squad’s team is led by Rick Flagg, played by Joel Kinnaman, an elite soldier and the de facto leader. He is under the guidance of Amanda Waller. This guy, too, just like his teammates, is full of issues. Actor Will Smith plays the role ofDeadshot, one of the deadliest marksmen in the world. Dressed in his red and black suit and mask, we will get to see Smith in an antihero role. In the trailer, we also meet another member of the Suicide Squad, Captain Boomerang aka Digger Harkness, played by Jai Courtney.

Apart from beautiful Margot, there are other two stunningly dark and dangerous ladies in the squad. Meet Enchantress, played by Cara Delevingne and Katana, played by Karen Fukuhara. Enchantress is pretty messed up in the head between her magical, mysterious powers for good and evil, whereas Katana is fierce and deadly and amazingly good with her magical sword, Soultaker, which steals the essence of those she rips. The essence of her kills are stored within the blade. We have seen her usually as a hero but this time around, it’ll be fun to see her among the antagonists.

Another team member who makes his entry in the trailer wrapped in what kind of looks like a Hannibal Lecter mask, is Killer Croc, played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. His ruthless brutality and wild strength matched with super-fast reflexes fill up for his lack of intelligence. Another important member of the Suicide Squad team is Slipknot, played by actor Adam Beach. A former chemist-now-turned-into-a-supervillain, has a brilliant skills of wielding durable ropes covered in a powerful adhesive created by himself. The trailer of Suicide Squad also introduced us to unique and the scariest member of the team, El Diablo, played by Jay Hernandez. His face full of tattoos, El Diablo is famous name, often shared by several fictional characters in DC comics but this character in the suicide squad was an ex-criminal named Chato Santana. After his contact with the original El Diablo, Chato receives the powers of a minor wrath of vengeance. After being captured by Amanda Waller, he is tortured to test his loyalty and when he clears the test, he is introduced to the Suicide Squad. In the trailer, the Dark Knight, The Batmanalso shows up with Harley driving the car and he on top of the roof, completely being himself, after all. Ben Affleck will catch up on the Suicide Squad as the Batman once his fight against the Man Of Steel, Superman in The Dawn Of Justice finishes.

Last but not the least, the main attraction of the trailer makes his grand entry. Yes, we are talking about none other than the man loved by most, The Joker. Actor Jared Leto will ace the role in the film. With his bare upper body filled with tattoos, green hair matching with his crazy green eyes, Joker is seen holding a dastardly looking tool and lights a fire of excitement in our eyes when he says, “Oh, I am not gonna kill ya, I’m just gonna hurt ya really.. really bad.” Man, that perfect tone!

With Suicide Squad’s this fabulous trailer, we are nothing but extremely excited for 2016! Suicide Squad hits the theatres onAugust 5, 2016.
