Guess who’s back, back again? Well, Leonardo DiCaprio is back after almost two years. The last time we saw Leonardo DiCaprio was in his film Wolf Of Wall Street. Now the actor soon will be seen in director Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant, thriller drama film which is based on a true story.
The first official trailer of the movie is out and by the looks of it, Leonardo DiCaprio has staked his claim for the Oscar with his mind blowing performance in the film. The trailer starts with Hugh Glass, played by Leonardo DiCaprio starring at a snowy mountain. Dressed in a fur hat and coat, the star is seen holding a long walking stick. Softly in his deep voice, Leonardo says, “I ain’t afraid to die anymore, I done it already” and in the next scene, we see Leonardo running through the forest as he inches closer to a battle. In the trailer, we see Leonardo go up against the enemy but is taken down. He faces injuries few many times, by his enemies and then by a bear. In the trailer, we also catch a glimpse of Tom Hardy, who plays the role of John Fitzgerald.

The trailer shows us the glimpses of Leonardo walking in the forest, snow and then sitting by a fire all alone, trying to survive each day. Apart from the cinematography, we loved trailer’s background score. After the battle scene, Leonardo’s heavy breathing sound starts to play in the background, mixed with the sound of drums. The sound track, cinematography, Leonardo and Tom’s performance add all the extra charm to The Revenant.
The film is all the more special as it is entirely shot on large format. Leonardo Di’Caprio’s The Revenant is based on a true story. The film takes place in the 19th century and follows the story of Hugh Glass, played by Leonardo, a fur trapper who is mauled by a bear while hunting and left to die by his companions after they rob him. The Revenant is his survival story as he sets out to get revenge from the men who betrayed him and did him wrong. The film is all set to hit the theatres this year on December.
