Mumbai: Professional display and visualization provider Barco is set to put its leading digital cinema products on display at CineAsia 2008 in Macau. Barco’s latest innovations in 3D digital cinema are highlighted by the Barco DP-2000 and the exciting new Barco DP-1200 2K Digital cinema projector.
CineAsia is a tradeshow and exhibition that brings together Asian cinema industry professionals, from cinema owners and suppliers to film buyers and distributors. The three-day gathering is set to take place 9-11 December in Macau at Macau Tower & the Wynn Macau.
The DP-2000 is a digital cinema platform for large and mid-market venues. It delivers remarkable brightness without sacrificing resolution, modularity, serviceability or overall system flexibility. The DP-2000 is suitable for a wide range of screens up to 20m and also is the most cost-effective 3D projector on the market today.
The DP-1200 is the latest addition to Barco’s DP series. With the 0.98 inch DLP Cinema Chip from Texas Instruments, the DP-1200 is the perfect projector for small venues. With this projector, even the smallest cinemas now have access to digital cinema, at an affordable price. The DP-1200 is suitable for screens up to 12m and maintains all the advantages of a Barco DP projector.
Contributing to the seminar program of CineAsia2008, Barco will be offering its Barco University ‘Digital Cinema Certification’ program. The certification course is designed to give digital cinema technicians the knowledge and experience needed to properly install and maintain Barco Digital Cinema Projectors. By providing such a training program and a certification standard, Barco is able to ensure that its customers can confidently choose a certified maintenance and installation provider — one who has met Barco’s exacting standards and has hands-on experience with Barco’s DP series of Digital Cinema Projectors.
