MUMBAI: Music merchandising company Bravado has entered into an agreement to manufacture and distribute merchandise with legendary recording artist, actress and entrepreneur Dolly Parton. The announcement was made by Bravado CEO Tom Bennett.
With a career spanning over four decades, Parton remains one of the most successful country artists of all time. Parton has over 26 number one singles, which is a record for a female performer. She also has 42 top ten-country albums and 110 charted singles over the course of her career. Besides being a gifted performer, Parton is also a songwriter, author, actress and philanthropist.
"Dolly is a true international superstar and enjoys a broad following of not only traditional country music fans, but fans from six to sixty, who adore her. She’s a great singer, a fantastic songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist and she’s quite a comedienne! She really does offer something for everyone," said Bravado A&R senior vice president Felix Sebacious.
Parton is currently on the Backwoods Barbie world tour, which began in North America this past spring, goes on to make a number of sold-out stops in key cities across Europe, then return to the US in late summer.
