Conkling is EVP, dist at Lifetime Networks

MUMBAI: Lifetime Networks president and CEO Andrea Wong has announced that Lori Conkling, the highly respected executive who has overseen a dramatic expansion in the distribution of Disney and ESPN’s groundbreaking multi-platform services, has been named Lifetime’s new Executive Vice President, Distribution, effective 1 March.

Reporting to Wong, Conkling will oversee all distribution for Lifetime Television and Lifetime Movie Network, the #1 and #2 networks for women, as well as Lifetime Real Women. She will also supervise the expansion of new and existing product platforms such as Lifetime VOD, Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network HD and Lifetime Movie Network en Espanol on demand.

“As we look to expand our incredibly powerful brand and increase our premier content and services to reach and resonate with even more women, Lori’s strong relationships and vast experience in executing long term, multi-product deals and creating highly successful marketing campaigns with distribution partners will make her a valuable addition to the Lifetime team,” said Wong. “Lori will be replacing the retiring Louise Henry Bryson, whose business acumen, passion and leadership have been critical to the great success Lifetime Networks enjoy today. I am thrilled that Louise is not leaving until the end of May to ensure a smooth transition and Lori will be able to seamlessly build on Louise’s and her team’s many accomplishments.”

Since 2004, Conkling has served as Vice President, National Accounts, for Disney and ESPN Media Networks, where she has been responsible for executing complex, multi-product national distribution deals for linear channels, VOD and pay-per-view services, broadband products and interactive TV applications. In her role, she has negotiated on behalf of Disney, ESPN, ABC and ABC News, among others. She rose to this position after having served as Director, National Accounts, for the ABC Cable Networks Group.
