Final Destination tops US box office with $47.6 million

MUMBAI: 3D horror flick The Final Destination has topped the US box office by garnering $12.4 million in its second weekend, which also happened to be the Labor Day holiday weekend. 


The movie raked in $28.3 million in its opening weekend. In its 10 day run at the US box office, the movie has so far earned a total of $47.6 million.

Second in line at the North American box office is the comedy All About Steve starring Sandra Bullock and Bradley Cooper, which has done a business of $11.2 million. Quentin Tarentino’s Inglourious Basterds starring Brad Pitt is in third position with $10.8 million in box office receipts. The movie has so far collected $91 million in 17 days.

On the fourth spot at the US box office was Gamer ($9 million), followed by District 9 ($7 million) and Halloween II ($5.6 million).
