HIT Entertainment inks Ninetendo Wii licensing deal for Bob The Builder

MUMBAI: HIT Entertainment has licensed the preschool property Bob the Builder to Mastertronic to create the first Nintendo Wii Bob the Builder game.

Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun targets young Bob fans and is designed to encourage interactive play between parent and child. Launched earlier this month, Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun on Wii is now selling out across retailers in the UK.

Festival of Fun was developed by designer Blast! Entertainment and features a parental play mode so that both parent and child can play Bob the Builder themed games together.

HIT Entertainment senior director home entertainment UK and EMEA Martin Adams said, "We are excited to be working with Blast!/Mastertonic, on our first Wii game.  Gaming presents an important growth market for our business, offering opportunities to extend the brand into a new sector of the licensing industry and reaching Bob the Builder fans in a new and interactive way."

Mastertronic marketing manager Kirsty Payne added, "Bob the Builder: Festival of Fun Wii is a fun and colourful gaming experience for children and parents that reflects the spirit of the TV series and incorporates a great balance of fun and learning with all their favourite characters, engaging tasks and diverse challenges."
