LOS ANGELES: Actress, singer and designer Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday and named her Maxwell Drew Johnson.
"We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives," the couple said announced on their website.
Simpson, 31, rose to fame as a teen pop star, was first married to Nick Lachey, but divorced after 3 years. Engaged to Johnson in November 2010,the couple is yet to set a wedding date.
Johnson, 32, is a former U.S. professional football player.
