MUMBAI: Actress Julie Christie will be honoured at the 29th annual Aspen Filmfest, which will be held from 26 – 30 September
Laura Thielen, executive director of Aspen Film, which produces the yearly event, said, “We are honored to celebrate this exceptionally gifted actor.”
Christie will receive Aspen Filmfest’s Independent By Nature Award on 29 September, which recognizes a film artist who embodies individualism and creative risk-taking. Past recipients include Harrison Ford, Michael Douglas, Angelica Huston and William H. Macy.
Christie has acted in films like Dr. Zhivago, Darling, Shampoo, Hamlet and Away From Her amongst others.
