Justin Timberlake jumped at the chance to produce former ‘N SYNC bandmate JC Chasez’ new album, because he believes his friend was the most talented member of the boy band.
Their collaboration on Schizophrenic also gave Timberlake the chance to “push” Chasez in a way he couldn’t during their days in the band. He says, “Out of all the boy bands, call ’em what you will, he was the one that could out-sing all of us… and I’ve known him since I was 10, so it was fun to sit behind the board and push him.
“I remember our conversations about it. I said, ‘You’re too talented for your own brain. When you have that much talent and can sing so many differentstyles, you want to sing all of them.”
