MUMBAI: Rentrak Corporation has inked an OnDemand Essentials contract with Image Entertainment, Inc, which is an independent licensee and distributor of entertainment programming in North America.
Serving major titles and independent films alike, the company has more than 3,000 exclusive DVD titles and approximately 340 exclusive CD titles in domestic release and more than 450 programs internationally via sublicense agreements.
"The increased amount of quality content available on video-on-demand (VOD) continues to attract more viewers to the platform, and makes it necessary for providers to subscribe to OnDemand Essentials which is the VOD industry’s measurement currency," said Rentrak vice president of OnDemand Essentials Gordon Jones.
"Given how competitive the video-on-demand platform is, it is crucial for Image to have timely and insightful performance data as to how our films perform in order to optimize our portfolio for both usage and revenue growth," said Image Entertainment vice chairman John Hyde.
