Rock band Good Charlotte sign with Capitol Records

Mumbai: Rock sensations Good Charlotte have signed to Capitol Records and will be releasing their fifth full-length album Cardiology on 26 October, 2010; almost 10 years after their self-titled debut put them on the map as one of the most exciting bands of the decade.

Originally formed as a pop-punk band in Waldorf, Maryland, in 1996, Good Charlotte—vocalist Joel Madden, guitarist Benji Madden, guitarist Billy Martin, bassist Paul Thomas and the latest edition, drummer Dean Butterworth—have sold over 10 million records to date and penned countless mainstream radio hits such as “The Anthem,” “Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous” and “Hold On.”

The band have constantly reinvented themselves and refused to limit their potential, whether supporting Justin Timberlake on his FutureSex/LoveShow tour or collaborating with Avenged Seven fold’s M. Shadows and Synyster Gates on their single “The River” from Good Charlotte’s 2007 full-length Good Morning Revival.

Good Charlotte recently wrapped up a two-month run on the Bamboozle Road show alongside Boys Like Girls, All Time Low, Third Eye Blind and Simple Plan and they’ll be spending July opening for Pink’s stadium tour in Europe before appearances this fall with a full US tour early next year.
