Mumbai: Liberation Entertainment announced an agreement with RYKO Distribution for the exclusive distribution of all Liberation video releases in the US beginning 1 Oct. The new pact covers all catalog titles as well as new releases. Liberation Entertainment is an independently held visual content company that specializes in the production and worldwide sales & distribution of feature films and television.
"We view this new partnership as a perfect fit for both companies," Liberation chairman and CEO Jay Boberg stated, "and we are proud to be partnered with RYKO’s outstanding creative sales & marketing team and their long history of success."
In making the announcement Ryko Distribution president Jim Cuomo said, "Ryko is excited to work with Liberation Entertainment and its diverse portfolio of television, film and special-interest video content. We look forward to supporting their releases with our national distribution and marketing resources."
Launched in 2006, Liberation Entertainment offers over 300 film titles & 2500 hours of television in its international sales catalogue. Some of Liberation’s new theatrical acquisitions that will fall under the RYKO deal include Eden, TOKYO! And Just Buried starring Jay Baruchel. Liberation Entertainment operates out of offices in Los Angeles and London.
