MUMBAI: Seven Arts Pictures plc has acquired the motion pictures Grinder and The Somnambulist for foreign and domestic distribution.
Seven Arts agreed to act as sales agent for the two pictures through its subsidiary, Seven Arts Pictures Louisiana.
The Somnambulist, starring Heather McComb , Gbenga Akinnagbe and Edward Furlong, was written by Andy Sparaco and directed by Rachel Grissom. The Somnambulist is currently in post-production.
Grinder is written and directed by Richard Clark Jr. and stars Nikki Griffin and Kris Lemche. Seven college students on their way to a Thanksgiving break getaway find themselves in the creepy town of Chapman when their car breaks down. The students quickly find out that the Roadkill Capital of the World may be far more sinister than it seems at first.
Seven Arts CEO Peter Hoffman commented, "We are excited about these two films and think they will be a strong addition to our lineup."
