MUMBAI: Star launched Star Chinese Movies 2, a new channel dedicated to showcasing the best of Chinese motion pictures from the 1970s to 1990s. Star Chinese Movies 2 features a stellar line-up of megastars including Jet Li, Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Stephen Chow and Chow Yun Fat, and celebrated filmmakers such as John Woo, Johnny To and Tsui Hark.
Star Chinese Movies 2 will debut in Singapore on StarHub Digital Cable on 25 January and will be available for audiences in North America on KyLinTV’s IPTV platform on 1 February.

Star Chinese Movies 2 will screen Chinese titles across a wide range of genres including kung fu/martial arts, action, crime, comedy and romantic drama.
The launch of Star Chinese Movies 2 follows the tremendous success of Star Chinese Movies, the No.1 Chinese movie channel in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and The Philippines.
Star Chinese Movies is powered by output deals with leading studios in Hong Kong , including Media Asia Films, Emperor Motion Pictures, JCE Movies, Universe International, Filmko, Jing’s Production and China Star. The channel recently produced and exclusively broadcast the prestigious 44th Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, garnering record-breaking ratings.
