TigerEye Productions’s award-winning film, Getting Lucky has ben inlcluded in the Estes Park Film Festival in Estes Park, CO. The film, written, produced and starring Stacy Marr, will be shown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16 at the Historic Park Theatre. Getting Lucky is an uplifting; funny and even touching film about Kat, an ambitious, independent yet overworked woman, and her search to find true love through an Internet dating service.
Kat’s life is turned upside down as a barrage of eager, quirky and overzealous suitors begin vying for her attention. Will Kat find true love? Or is she forever doomed to dating in the cyber world? With the help of a mysterious yet familiar stranger, she just might find herself … Getting Lucky. Getting Lucky was selected as one of the top ten out of 500 films to receive Honorable Mention at The Indie Gathering in Cleveland, Ohio.
At the Deep Fried Film Festival in Coatbridge, Scotland, Getting Lucky was awarded Best Comedy. And, at the Texas Independent Filmmakers International Film Festival in San Antonio, Texas, Getting Lucky was awarded Best Acting in a Short Film. Writer/Producer/Actress, Stacy Marr, produced and starred in Savage in Limbo and The Dining Room through her theatre company Ronin Ensemble. Stacy started her professional career in New York City with the revived Off-Broadway production of Women of Manhattan.
Film credits include: An Intimate Friendship (Best Feature, Angel Citi Film Festival), Sally’s Dream House (winner of Audience Choice Award, Route 66 Film Festival), Jimmy’s House of Hugs (Audience Choice Award, Faux Film Festival). Currently, Stacy is working on her feature, A Picture Speaks, and is developing another short film that she plans to direct this fall.
