MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Television (SPT) EVP, networks, Asia-Pacific, Todd Miller will soon be leaving the organisation. Miller, who joined SPT in 1994, will leave the company on 15 April.
Miller spearheaded development and operations of SPT’s portfolio of channels in Asia-Pacific including SPT’s branded television networks AXN, AXN Beyond, Animax and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) throughout Asia, as well as ONE and Pix-branded subscription VOD services.
Under his direction, the company launched several new channels, including most recently ONE in Malaysia. Miller also facilitated AXN’s recent joint venture with CU Media and imminent expansion in Korea.
SPT president, networks Andy Kaplan said, "Todd has brilliantly guided our networks business in Asia-Pacific and made a tremendous contribution to the company. While we are sad to see him go, Todd has certainly earned a break and we wish him only the best in his future endeavours."
Miller added, "It’s been a thrilling tenure with Sony. After helping SPT build and operate winning businesses in Asia for nearly 17 years, and with Sony’s networks on top in Asia, this is the right time for me to take an extended sabbatical from the corporate world. I plan to focus on family, to deepen my involvement with Asian children charities, and do some more cycling in my quest to ultimately circumnavigate the planet on two wheels."
Previously, Miller was SPT’s EVP and managing director, Asia. Prior to that, he was based in Singapore and oversaw all operations and day-to-day activities of SPE Networks – Asia.
