MUMBAI: Tony Leung Chiu-wai, who has earlier starred in In The Mood For Love and Bullet In The Head has replaced Chow Yun-fat in John Woo’s forthcoming film Red Cliff.

Yun-Fat, who has featured in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, could not commit bulk dates for Woo’s film, which was being shot in a six-month stretch, it is learnt.

China Film Group and Avex Entertainment are producing the film, shooting for which is in progress at Hebel province and Beijing Studios.
