Universal Music Distribution’s new SVP is Mitch Rotter

MUMBAI: Universal Music Group Distribution (UMD) Executive Vice President & General Manager Amanda Marks announced the new Senior Vice President, Marketing and Product Development as Mr. Rotter. With this promotion Mr. Rotter will add the development of new products, services, marketing tools and systems to his existing responsibilities, which include oversight of central marketing support for all products.

"I’m thrilled be taking the next step in my career here at UMD," stated Mr. Rotter. “UMGD President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Urie and Amanda have built a solid, industry-leading team and I’m proud to be a part of it."

Prior to joining UMD, Mr. Rotter served as Senior Vice President of Content Acquisition and Strategy for Thumbplay, where he was responsible for the company’s overall content, merchandising, and storefront strategy and oversaw Thumbplay’s numerous media, marketing and content partnerships.
