Universal Music Publishing Group continues development streak

MUMBAI: Universal Music Publishing Group has inked a worldwide co-publishing agreement with international breakthrough artist B.o.B., as well as an exclusive worldwide publishing deal with Alex da Kid, who co-wrote and produced B.o.B’s Top 5 single, "Airplanes." The deal with B.o.B. was signed through UMPG’s joint venture with Eminem’s Slim Shady Music Publishing, LLC.

UMPG has been fortunate to sign very early key artists, writers, and producers that have taken the global music scene by storm, including recent breakthrough artists and writers Justin Bieber, Owl City, Florence & The Machine, and The XX, and now B.O.B and Alex Da Kid, to name a few.

The publishing deal encompasses B.o.B.’s platinum selling debut album, B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray (Grand Hustle) which reached No. 1 on three Billboard charts – U.S. Billboard 200, Top R&B / Hip Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums.

The No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 single, "Nothin’ On You," was the first single released on B.o.B. Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. The current breakout hit, "Airplanes," featuring Hayley Williams (Paramore) and Eminem (published by UMPG), was co-written and produced by Alex da Kid, and is a Top 5 smash on the Billboard charts.
