MUMBAI: Warner Bros. Television has appointed Susan Rovner as executive vice president, development.
In her new position, Rovner will report directly to Warner Bros. Television president Peter Roth. She will be responsible for spearheading the creation of new primetime programming for the broadcast network marketplace, overseeing the division’s drama and comedy development teams.
"Susan is one of the finest development executives in our business, a highly talented collaborator with impeccable taste in material and a breadth and depth of relationships with top creative talent. I’ve worked closely with her for more than 10 years, and she is the perfect person to lead our future development efforts," said Roth.
Rovner will succeed Leonard Goldstein, who recently announced plans to segue from WBTV in June to serve as head of television at Fake Empire, the new production company formed by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage.
Immediately prior to her promotion, Rovner had been WBTV’s senior vice president of drama development since 2002.
