WealthTV taps Rentrak as official TV measurement service

MUMBAI: Rentrak Corporation has signed a linear (schedule based) television measurement agreement with WealthTV, the premier lifestyle and entertainment network, which establishes independent measurement of the network’s program performance. Rentrak is the only research firm capable of providing highly detailed, accurate and timely reporting utilizing data from millions of set top boxes to networks such as WealthTV that strives to offer the most compelling content for its target audience.

Rentrak’s TV Essentials service provides WealthTV with the ability to fine-tune programming, report on advertiser delivery, evaluate marketing strategies, as well as better position the networks ad sales and distribution. All subscribers to Rentrak’s TV Essentials service receive: Access to viewing data from millions of set top boxes across 37 markets; Ratings for all networks and programs; Second by second viewing patterns for networks and individual telecasts; Metrics including average percent of the program viewed by the audience for all telecasts and Audience duplication across networks and day-parts

In addition to the TV Essentials linear data system, Rentrak processes daily, census-level on demand data representing 70 million set-top boxes from 28 MSOs with their extensive on demand data being used by more than 100 content provider subscription clients every day to meet their measurement needs.
