Mumbai: Fans surrounded the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City for the world premiere event of Camp Rock. The movie makes its television debut on 20 June. Stars of the movie and other notable guests walked the white carpet.
"New York really turned out to embrace us," said Joe Jonas. "I love the songs in this movie, and I can’t wait to share them with our fans."
Demi Lovato seconded the sentiment by adding, "Being here in New York for my first premiere event is beyond anything I ever expected I am looking forward to the world watching the movie and listening to the soundtrack. When I first heard the music to Camp Rock, I could not stop listening to it. And to sing with Joe Jonas was so exciting that when I listened to the playback for the first time, I cried."

Camp Rock is the story of a talented yet unsure teen who yearns to share her songs with the world, and a tempestuous young superstar who has lost his passion for music and is sent packing by his band mates. Together, at a camp for aspiring young music artists, they learn to believe in themselves and to value the freedom to be who they really want to be.
The movie has been written by Regina Hicks, Karin Gist, Julie Brown, and Paul Brown. The director is Matthew Diamond and the cinematographer is Dean Cundey. Emmy Award winner Alan Sacks is the executive producer. Kevin Lafferty is the producer.
