MUMBAI: 94.3 MY FM turned four on 28 May, 2010 with the anniversary of its first station in Jaipur. The radio station continued its resolve of celebrating occasions through CSR initiatives under Koshish Dil Se. 94.3 MY FM Jaipur, took up the cause of water scarcity, a vital issue in the state of Rajasthan.
94.3 MY FM’s OB jocks went around town with water tankers supplying water to various colonies while interacting with the residents about the shortage of water and ways and means to use water efficiently. Residents of the city were required to SMS their name and locality to call for these tankers. The total of 350 households of Jaipur was approached for water distribution.
The celebration also included a contest where the on-air RJ made a pledge to save water and the listeners had to call in and repeat the pledge. Lucky winners who took the pledge were gratified with mobile handsets.
The station also talked about water born diseases & hence the importance of the usage of clean water at home, especially for drinking. There were different contests around this issue and around 100 water purifiers from OSO water system were given away to winners.
94.3 MY FM CEO Harrish M Bhatia said, “MY FM Jaipur, being the first station of MY FM to be launched, also marks the presence of MY FM on air for four solid years. As a corporate policy we have decided to celebrate this year’s occasions through CSR initiatives which we have titled as Koshish Dil Se. These celebrations are also an indication of how the radio market has evolved to include activities that are meaningful to the listeners’ lives. My heartiest wishes go out to the entire MY FM team and especially to Jaipur for making this occasion a success.”
