Mumbai: The fifth Mirchi KAAN Awards, which honour creativity in radio advertising are scheduled to take place on 18 July.
Initiated in 2004 by Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Mirchi KAAN Awards felicitates creative excellence in radio advertising.
Breaking last year’s records, Radio Mirchi’s fifth Mirchi KAAN Awards, have received an overwhelming response with more than 700 entries across 15 categories. Creative talents from India’s leading advertising firms will be competing with each other for the Gold, Silver & Bronze awards and the Single Crystal Award for the most outstanding Radio Ad along with many more.
The jury comprises Prasoon Joshi, Piyush Pandey, R Balakrishnan, Ravi Deshpande, Mohammed Khan, KS Chakravarthi, Agnello Dias, KV Sridhar, Rajat Dholakia, Ram Sampath, Priti Nair, Rekha Nigam, Bobby Pawar, Shantanu Moitra, Ramanuj Shastry, Ashish Khazanchi, Gullu Sen, Prahlad Kakkar, Pradeep Sarkar, Josy Paul, Suguna Swami, Senthil Kumar, Sunil Thoppil, Deepa Krishnan & Ramesh Ramanathan.
According to Entertainment Network (India) CEO Prashant Panday, "Great creative output is one of the key drivers of the growth of the radio industry and Mirchi KAAN Awards with its theme "March against Mediocrity" hopes to set new bench marks of creativity that the industry will look up to. The fifth edition will surely host a landmark gathering ".
The various categories in fifth Mirchi Kaan Awards are foods, beverages, toiletries & household care, business products & services, health & cosmetic care, clothing, footwear & accessories, consumer durables, homes, décor & leisure, automotive & accessories, services for the household sector, sports, entertainment, travel & leisure, public service, media, retail outlets, fast food stores, restaurants, unreleased work etc.
