Radio City in association with Sa Re Ga Ma partnered “Lata – 80 Glorious years, Safalta Ki Shikhar Per Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi” – a collector’s item of 8 CDs that contain songs spanning her entire singing era.
The album comes with a collection of Mangeshkar’s rare photographs through the decades as well as a foreword by legendary & reclusive Yash Chopra himself. This tribute to the singer comes just days before her 80th birthday
Mangeshkar went LIVE on air, on the day of her album launch, at Sa Re Ga Ma office at 7 p.m. with RJ Rohit, on the show Joyride and supported by all Radio City RJs.
Furthermore, on the occasion of Mangeshkar’s birthday on Monday, 28 September, Radio City 91.1FM will dedicate the entire day to her with every show presenting the best of Lataji’s music down the ages to date.
The celebration will end with an exclusive interview with Mangeshkar on the retro show of Radio City, Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi from 9 to 11 p.m where she will share her life journey and passion of music with RJ Gaurav and her listeners.
