MUMBAI: Music director Pyarelal, better known as part of the Laxmikant – Pyarelal duo, will score one song for Shah Rukh Khan’s new film Om Shanti Om.
Says Pyarelal, “The first half of the film takes you back to the seventies. I have scored one song as a tribute to the golden 1970s.”
Sources says that an attempt was made to bring classic and contemporary music together in the song, with Pyarelal recording the music with his live orchestra.
Om Shanti Om is Farah Khan’s first directorial venture after Main Hoon Naa. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and new find Deepika Padukone. The film’s music has been scored by Vishal – Shekhar, while Gulzar has penned the lyrics.
