MUMBAI: Geodesic Information Systems’ mobile entertainment product, Mundu Radio, has received the “CNET Webware 100” award for the mobile category.
The finalists for the “Webware 100” awards were selected by the editors of Webware.com, a CNET site, but ultimate winners were picked by the users. The “Webware 100” Awards recognise the best Web 2.0 products and applications that are leading the next wave of innovation. Webware.com editors received and reviewed almost 5000 entries. Finalists were selected and featured in an online poll, where users voted and selected 100 winners in 10 categories.
Mundu Radio provides access to thousands of digital Internet Radio stations on internet-connected mobile phones. Users can easily navigate their favourite stations and genres using customisable play lists and profiles.
“We knew that we had a good product because our users told us so. Winning this award in the Company of high caliber nominees such as Google and Yahoo proves it,” says the company’s senior vice president-products and strategy Atul Chitnis.
