Radio Misty to launch in Sikkim in August

Mumbai: The first FM station of North Bengal, Radio Misty 94.3 FM will be on air at Sikkim in August. This will be the first FM station of the state, which is known for its orchids and eco friendly tourist spots worldwide.

Radio Misty chief executive officer Nishant Mittal told that a state of art studio is been made at Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. True to its motto, "Local people – Local voice, Local station – Local choice", Radio Misty 94.3 FM will connect the local people via interactive and innovative shows, focusing on local culture and heritage.

Its programmes are designed to cater for people from all lifestyles and ages. Mittal said that a survey for music has been done by a reputed research agency. Based on its findings music will be played according to taste of local people.

He further stated that the total marketing plans will be in tune with the slogan of green state Sikkim. Total campaign will be eco friendly where focus will be on local connect. He added that people of Sikkim are music lovers.

Radio Misty has been in partnership with BBC also. It is the first FM station, which airs BBC top of the pop. Top of the Pops offers the weekly UK music chart rundown and much more. With exclusive backstage interview from the big names, live and studio performances, plus of course all the new entries in both the UK’s album and singles charts.
