Mumbai: The stage was all set for India’s biggest rock event as the finals of the Airtel Independence Rock XXIII was scheduled at the Chitrakoot grounds in Mumbai. Silvers from Pune was declared the winners of this rock event. Adding another feather to their hat was the best vocalist award which was bagged by the Silvers lead vocalist-Mahesh.
The aftermath of the finale will be marked by a Victory Lap by the winners across cities of Kolkata, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Mumbai.
Rishi Rai from Silvers said, "I Rock has always been a wonderful experience. The organizers made sure that we were given the feel and experience of an international festival owing to the advanced sound and lights technology used. We are now looking forward to the victory lap wherein we get the opportunity to play at four metropolitan cities. Over and above what made our victory special is that it was the first time Pune was incorporated as one of the venues and we as winners have reiterated the cities emerging talent in this sphere".
With over 12, 300 rock lovers at the venue, rock mania reached its crescendo with the pro bands like Agni, Zero, Hip Pocket, Faith, Scribe and Dominic Resurrection.
