MUMBAI: Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra has sold the music rights of his forthcoming film 3 Idiots to T-Series.
3 Idiots is directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced under the banner of Vinod Chopra Films. When contacted by Businessofcinema.com, Chopra confirmed the development.
One of the most anticipated movies of the year, 3 Idiots stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Boman Irani and Mona Singh. While it will be Hirani’s third film after the successful cult films Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munnabhai, 3 Idiots will also see the pairing of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor for the first time ever. The movie is slated to release on 25 December, 2009.
The music of the film has been composed by Shantanu Moitra, who has previously also composed for films like Eklavya, Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Parineeta, which have also been produced by Chopra. The lyrics have been penned by Swanand Kirkire.
