High Court Looks Into Baahubali’s Black Ticket Issue

Baahubali-asccsBaahubali has been ruling all the headlines lately, from its longest schedule of 500 days of shooting to the most expensive film being made ever. This film has surely broken all the records of the Indian cinema industry in all its areas, with so much of highness Baahubali is bound to be the most anticipated film ever made.

However, the great film which has just released is creating waves all over the country. But the glitch is that it’s also creating some troubles, Narasimha Rao who is the President of Film Audience Association has filed a petition in the court citing that people are losing their lives because of the long queues for tickets. The PIL (Public Interest Litigation) is filed in order to tackle the case of black ticketing issue of Baahubali.

In the PIL Narasimha Rao has mentioned that people’s lives are being endangered due to the stampede and the makers, distributors and exhibitors are encouraging black ticketing of the film. With the black ticketing the number of tickets on the counter are far less than they should be. Complaints to the Telangana Home Minister also have been made for the illegal hike in the price of the tickets. The matter has reached the High Court and Joint Collector has stated that strict action will be taken if theaters are found resorting to black ticketing and hike in price illegally. The HC will hear the petition tomorrow and find a way to resolve this menace.

The moment Baahubali’s online ticket booking was opened, the portal of a very famous online ticket booking crashed due to the huge traffic on their site. The tickets of the record breaking film were sold out within the first few hours itself.

The film stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty in lead roles. Baahubali is geared to impress the audience in the metropolitan cities on July 10th.
