Mollywood’s ace actor Mammootty has got a new leading lady straight from Bollywood industry. Well it is none other than the Gangs of Wasseypur beauty actress Huma Qureshi. Reportedly the duo has been roped in for director Uday Ananthan‘s next romantic flick named White. Huma who had earlier expressed her wish to be a part of the south Indian film industry has bagged her debut role opposite superstar Mammootty himself!
According to sources Huma Qureshi has already started working on her Malayalam skills by hiring a personal tutor. The actress wants to be familiar with the basics of the language in order to work well with her colleagues and the film itself. White is a romantic love story that will see actor Mammootty essay the role of a middle-aged man who falls in love with a much younger woman that will be portrayed by Huma Qureshi. It will certainly be interesting to see this couple’s chemistry and how the audiences like it. Shooting of the film will take place in London and other major cities abroad.
Over the past several years Huma Qureshi has given some stupendous performances in films like Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiya, Ek Thi Daayan, D-Day, Badlapur, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana amongst others. Huma had earlier mentioned that she wants to cover all the Indian film industries by working on films from several different languages. Uday Ananthan, Nandini Valsan and Praveen Balakrishnan are the script writers of White. Bipin Chandran has penned the dialogues. Rest of the cast is yet to be revealed. Actor Mammootty is currently working on his film Utopiayile Rajavu.
