Telugu heartthrob Mahesh Babu has once again proven that he is a softspoken person who wishes well for everyone. The actor who was recently present at a children’s hospital event opened up about the recent buzz after his film Srimanthudu got postponed. Instead of a competitive attitude, Mahesh Babu spoke from his heart and stated that every movie fanatic should be proud of Baahubali and pray that the film does well!
Mahesh’s Srimanthudu was supposed to release on July 17, a week after S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali which releases on July 10. But the filmmakers decided to postpone the release date and now the film will hit theaters on August 7. While speculations were made that the decision has been made to avoid clashing with Baahubali, actor Mahesh Babu is of an opinion that a film like Baahubali deserves a solo release. According to the actor there should be a gap of at least two to three weeks between big releases.
Mahesh further added stating that everyone should pray for Baahubali as its success is very important for the film industry as a whole. Which is definitely true, as Rajamouli’s Baahubali is taking a step forward to match international standards of filmography. Said to be India’s biggest motion picture and the most expensive film ever made in the history of Indian cinema, Baahubali will be released across 4000 screens worldwide setting a record of its own.
Well now that Mahesh Babu has himself made it clear that the decision to postpone Srimanthudu wasn’t because they are scared to compete, but to respect the effort put in by the makers of Baahubali, Prabhas and Mahesh fans who have engaged in fan-wars will finally stop the hassle. We are glad to see a superstar of Mahesh Babu‘s stature openly addressing his costars’ efforts and not looking at everything as a competition! Needless to say both the films are anticipated blockbusters as the buzz created by them looks promising.
