Tamil superstars and other members of Nadigar Sangam that is South Indian Film Artistes’ Association (SIFAA) gathered for 2015 election. The elections went on for an entire day and have sparked some fights and controversies as well. Finally the results have been announced only few hours ago and we let you know the list of winners as well as a synopsis of what went down on the election day. Esteemed actors like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, Nayanthara and Samantha were all part of the election process.
Actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan made presence early on where the latter was accompanied by partner actress Gautami. Superstar Rajinikanth had apparently suggested during the meet that the name of South Indian Film Artistes’ Association should be changed to Tamil Film Artistes’ Association. While this suggestion got support from Nasser, Kamal Haasan believes that Nadigar Sangam should represent all Indian actors and everyone should be allowed to become a member. He suggested renaming it to Indian Artistes Association.
During the Nadigar Sangam elections, apparently actor Vishal was attacked inside the polling booth and the blame was allegedly put on Sarathkumar and his team. Vishal had to be taken to his caravan to be treated by the doctor and this created quite a ruckus at the election site. Finally the actor stepped out of his caravan but refused to reveal the person’s name who attacked him in order to let the elections continue. He later named Kicha Ramesh as the attacker.
After a day of endless tiresome meeting and greeting, coupled with few fights and differences in opinion the South Indian Film Artistes’ Association 2015 elections have finally come to an end. Here’s the list of winners at this year’s Nadigar Sangam election:

Vice President 1: Karunaas
Vice President 2: PonVannan
