On the first day in places like Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkatta, the film had opened below the mark. But on the second day, the film has grown well in Mumbai and Delhi and other metros
In East Punjab the collection was less due to the strong opening. On Saturday, the collections in East Punjab and Delhi was good despite some other parts getting better growth.
The film is doing decent business in North, all thanks to Diljit Dosanjh’s presence.
The Saturday business is not that great, but the film still has chances. Phillauri is a family film, and there should be a growth on Sunday.
The film has been high on promotions and raised curiosity among the audience over its unique concept. Phillauri saw Anushka Sharma as the spirit “Shashi” and the plot revolving around her story of her lost love.
The film is light-hearted laced with subtle humour which works in favour of the film’s setting.
Directed by debutant Anshai Lal, written by Anvita Dutt and produced by Fox Star Studios and Clean Slate Films (Anushka’s production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma).
The film Bhanwarey has tanked at the Box Office. Anarkali Of Aarah has limited collections.
The other releases Anaarkali Of Aarah has performed very poor and collected around 10 Lakhs net on day one and Bhanwaarey has miserably failed, collected below Rs 1 Lakh.
