One of Rajinikanth’s fans went to watch his latest release ‘Lingaa’ on Thursday. Rejendran, a 52 year old man of Chennai went to watch midnight show of Lingaa at Shanthi Theatre, Chennai. The man was already suffering from chronic kidney diseases and was on an intravenous drip for the last few days in the hospital before going to watch the movie in theatre.
Doctors warned him to stay back in the hospital but tried to slip out and went to complete his wish to watch his superstar Rajinikanth’s movie. Rajendran did not inform his wife or any relative that he is going to watch the movie that he desired to as a fan. He gave the security staff a slip and bought a ticket at a theatre close to the Railway Station, which is a kilometer away from the hospital.
After the screening of the film, the sweeper found the man was still on the seat. When the cinema employees approached him they found him dead with the intravenous drip-tube intact. The body was sent for an autopsy and the reason behind the death is yet to come.
The release of Lingaa was also a celebration part of the star, as it was his 64th birthday. Fans were seen thronging theatres to watch the movie.
