[tps_footer]Actor of Kaththi, Ilayathapathy Vijay, famously known only as ‘Vijay‘ recently spoke his mind out during the audio launch. He said, “I’m also Tamilian and I’ve worked here only. All of you know the kind of trouble we underwent while making the film. I don’t usually talk much. But I can say that while I may not be thyagi (martyr), I’m not a drohi (traitor).”
The audio launch was held amidst a lot of security concerns, because there have been allegations that the production company had business links with the Sri Lankan President.
Earlier, Lyca Productions of the movie also claimed that a rival house is trying to destroy their reputation by falsely proving that Lyca management is closely associated with Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa or members of his family.
In fact, the production house also issued clarifications against the photos that have been released. Lyca management released the original of a photo of Rajapaksa addressing an audience with the Lyca mobiles logo on the banner behind him. According to the spokesperson, the photo has been forged, and they made it clear that it wasn’t the first time that the production houses’ photographs were doctored.
Kaththi, which is slated to release this Deepavali, also stars Samantha and Neil Nitin Mukesh. It has been directed by A.R. Murugadoss of Ghajini fame.
