One of the most anticipated films of the year, Drishyam’s official trailer is finally here and after watching the trailer, we are not at ease. No, the anticipation has only grown more!
Trailer starts on a very happy note. Taking us through the beautiful scenery of Panjim, Goa, we meet Vishal Salgaonkar, played by Ajay Devgn and his beautiful family. Everything in the life of this cable operator called Vishal, seems normal. Just when we thought nothing can go wrong in Vishal’s life, who has a loving wife and two beautiful daughters, things take a wild turn.
The entry of veteran actress Tabu adds the extra charisma in the trailer. It’s not completely Tabu but the character that she plays in the film is what captivates us. With a confident and revenge in her eyes, Tabu is fierce like a wild tigress on her chase to hunt down the culprit who caused a mother her son’s life. She wants to know what happened and she won’t stop till she does. This war between a clever police officer, a mother, Tabu and a 4th grade dropout cable operator, a family man, Ajay Devgn is some game we definitely don’t wish to miss.
Looking at the glimpses of the tragic event that took place at a rainy night in the trailer, it was not hard to solve the puzzle with all the scattered pieces but even after realizing what has happened and what Ajay Devgn and his whole family is hiding, we can’t help but feel a strong emotional connection with his character and find his actions justified.
Even though the story is presented to us in a silver platter covered in dark dust of suspense, we can’t help but wonder what’s going to happen next? The thudding sound of our heartbeats keep us going as the trailer comes to an end and we just sit there, with our eyes wide open and a look of expectation dawns upon us. Yes, we are absolutely thrilled and excited about director Nishikant Kamat’s upcoming thriller film Drishyam, and yes, we have marked July 31 in the calendar, have you?
The thriller drama film Drishyam, which is a remake of the Malayalam hit film of the same name also stars Shriya Saran and Rajat Kapoor. How far a man can go to protect his family? Guess we are just about to find out on July 31, 2015!
